About SkipBoxes

I run SkipBoxes myself. I'm Lucky, I started it in 2026, and it's based in Snohomish County, serving Seattle, Everett, and the towns around the Puget Sound. Locally owned, one person, no franchise behind it. When you book, I'm the one who shows up with the bins.

Why I started it

I've moved around 20 times. For work, for upgrades, a one-bedroom that turned into a two, a three that turned into a four, sometimes just across town. A couple of them were international. Most I did myself.

You learn the same lessons every time. The moving day is the easy part. It's everything around it that wears you down. The week spent hunting for boxes. Taping them shut. Booking a U-Haul. Carrying load after load from the room to the truck, because a dolly is never around when you actually need one. Wrapping every plate, mug, and glass and still opening a box on the other end to find something broken.

And then the cardboard. After one move I rented a storage unit partly to keep a stack of flattened boxes, sure I'd need them again. I did not need them again. They sat there, I kept paying, and for a while I was basically paying rent to store guilt.

I built SkipBoxes because I wanted moving without that whole tail.

What you actually get

Sturdy reusable bins, dropped at your door and picked up when you're done. You don't hunt for boxes or tape anything. The bins show up, you fill them, I take them back.

The reuse part

Reusable bins let you skip both ends of the cardboard problem. Nothing to track down before the move, nothing to flatten, haul off, or feel guilty about after. It's a lot less waste, which is the part the planet appreciates, and one less errand on either side of moving day, which is the part you will.

Free delivery covers most of the greater Seattle area: Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Bothell, Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Everett, Marysville, Snohomish, Woodinville, and most points in between.

For a small extra fee we also reach Tacoma, Renton, Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Snoqualmie, Monroe, Sultan, Duvall, and Tukwila.
